Obelisq signs Finn Linder

Vancouver, March 2, 2023 - Obelisq Sports Group is proud to announce the signing of center back Finn Linder to the agency. The 18-year-old currently plays for the Vancouver Whitecaps' reserve team in MLS Next Pro.
Linder, a Calgary native, arrived in Vancouver in 2020 after spending a few years at the Whitecaps FC Academy in Calgary. In his youth, he played for the Calgary Blizzard.
In 2022, Linder signed his first professional contract with the Whitecaps 2 in MLS Next Pro. In his rookie season, the big defender played a total of 12 games, scoring his first professional goal on June 12 against Tacoma.
Linder is also a New Zealand citizen. He has just received his first international call-up with the New Zealand U23 team. Linder will travel to Auckland and Wellington in two weeks for two games against China U23 on March 23 and 26.
The Whitecaps 2 will begin their MLS Next Pro season on March 26.

Linder, originaire de Calgary, est arrivé à Vancouver en 2020 après avoir passé quelques années au centre de formation des Whitecaps FC à Calgary. Dans sa jeunesse, il a joué au club Calgary Blizzard.
En 2022, Linder a signé un premier contrat professionnel avec les Whitcaps 2 en MLS Next Pro. À sa saison recrue, le grand défenseur a disputé un total de 12 matchs, inscrivant son premier but professionnel le 12 juin dernier contre Tacoma.
Né à Calgary, Linder a également la nationalité néo-zélandaise. D’ailleurs, il vient tout juste de recevoir sa première convocation internationale avec l’équipe U23 de la Nouvelle-Zélande. Linder voyagera dans 2 semaines à Auckland et à Wellington pour deux matchs contre la Chine U23 les 23 et 26 mars.
Les Whitecaps 2 débuteront leur saison MLS Next Pro le 26 mars.
